What Happens if a Resident From Your Town Also Lives in Another Town — Animal Crossing: New Leaf

There’s always been that inevitable question when playing Animal Crossing? What happens if a villager from your town also lives in a neighboring village that you choose to visit? Well, we now have the long sought after answer!

If you speak to a villager in another town, who also lives in your town, you’ll get some pretty funny dialogue. In my case, Peanut the squirrel commented by saying that she felt like she knew me already. It was almost as if I already knew her in another life. Interestingly enough, I do know her in another life, back in my native town.

Furthermore, if you go speak to Isabelle in another town, the golden retriever assistant, she’ll say “If I get some time off, I’d like to visit *your town* sometime. I hear there’s a really nice young secretary working there who’s supposed to be stunningly beautiful. Hmm… I wish I could be that beautiful someday.” Once again, the game is poking fun at the fact that there are different versions of the same character in different towns.
